Christine P. Mohler, M.D., F.A.A.P.,
is a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Mohler graduated from the University of Oklahoma on the Dean’s and President’s Honor Roll with a degree in Zoology.  She received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in June 1994 where she was honored as an Honors Research Scholar.  In 1997 she completed her post graduate Pediatric Medical Residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  She became a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics in 1997 and in 1998 she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She participates professionally as a member of the East Valley Pediatric Society and is on the Desert Samaritan Pediatric Committee. Dr. Mohler practiced for eight years in a private setting before founding Desert Shores Pediatrics.

 

Dr. Mohler is a resident of Gilbert.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

Sharon Allred, M.D., F.A.A.P.,
is a Midwest native, transplanted to the Southwest in 1998. She completed her undergraduate studies in 1986 at the University of South Dakota with a B.S. in Chemistry. In 1992, she obtained her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Allred’s Pediatric Residency was at MCW, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, at Kosair Children’s Hospital completing her training in 1995. She became board-certified in Pediatrics that same year. Prior to her joining Desert Shores Pediatrics in 2006, she spent 3 years as an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville and over 7 years in private practice in rural Safford, Arizona. Away from the office, she enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and four step-children.

Carrie Lipp, MD, F.A.A.P.,
has been a board-certified pediatrician since 2005 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  After graduating magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Toledo in Ohio, she went on to obtain her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2002.  Dr. Lipp remained in Indiana and completed her pediatric residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.  After completing residency training, she joined a practice in Shelbyville, Indiana where she worked for two years until relocating to Arizona in 2007.  When she is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Jean M. Mullen, M.D., F.A.A.P.
has been a board certified pediatrician since 2000 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She is a Cum Laude graduate from Washington and Jefferson College in western Pennsylvania and attended medical school at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.  She did her internship at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.  Upon graduating she was asked and was honored to stay as a chief resident to teach other doctors in training before coming to Arizona in 2002.  She has been living and practicing in Gilbert since 2002.  In her time away from the office she enjoys running, playing the piano and spending time with her husband and 3 children.

Cheri Nason, M.D., F.A.A.P.
is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been a board certified pediatrician since 1998.  After obtaining her BA in Biochemistry at the University of California, San Diego, she went on to earn her MD at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1995.  Dr. Nason then returned to California and completed her residency training at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford.  She had a private practice in the Silicon Valley for 8 years before moving to Arizona and joining Desert Shores Pediatrics in 2006.  When not working, she enjoys time with her husband and 2 children.

Susan Suna Yin, D.O., F.A.A.P.

is a board-certified pediatrician.  After receiving her BA in French Studies and Psychobiology at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, she went on to attend medical school at the Ohio University School of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Yin completed her intership and pediatrics residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in June of 2007.  Soon after graduation she moved to Gilbert and has enjoyed practicing in the area.  In her time away from the office, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking and spending time with her husband.

Staci Cruz, P.A.-C 
is a certified Physician Assistant with a specialty in Pediatrics.  She is an Arizona native who grew up in Tempe.  Her Bachelor of Science was earned at California Lutheran University graduating cum laude in 1993.  She received her medical training from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Physician Assistant program in Denver, graduating in 1998.  Since graduating she has worked for nine years in private pediatric practice prior to joining Desert Shores Pediatrics.  Besides maintaining her Arizona state license she is also certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends.

Marion Memmott P.A.-C,
was born in a small town in northern Mexico.  Growing up in two cultures has given him an understanding that as people we are all different but with similar needs.  He has lived in Arizona since 1991.  After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona, he went on to receive a Masters of Science of Physician Assistant from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 1999.  Marion has practiced in Pediatrics for the past eight years in Phoenix Arizona before joining Desert Shores Pediatrics.  Marion enjoys spending his time away from the office with his wife and six children.  Animals and working with his hands are two of his favorite hobbies.

Amy Eby, C.P.N.P.,

completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998 from The University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  While at The University of Tulsa Amy was inducted into the National Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau.  After graduation she started working in the Eastern Oklahoma Perinatal Center's level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) specializing in the development of premature infants.  Amy started her graduate education at Texas Woman's University in 1999 while continuing to work as a NICU nurse.  She then went on to graduate with a Masters of Science degree in 2002 specializing in pediatrics.  Amy passed the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners exam in August of 2002.  Shortly after graduation she began working in pediatric endocrinology.  In 2004 she relocated to Phoenix and joined a primary care pediatric clinic.  She is currently a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners both locally and nationally.  Amy enjoys running marathons, playing tennis and spending time with her husband and 2 children.

Kathy Waldo, C.P.N.P.,

is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner.  In 2001, she graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology, after which she taught seventh grade math and science for a year.  After completing a second Bachelor degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado in 2005, Kathy worked as a pediatric nurse at The Children's Hospital in Denver and then at Banner Desert Medical Center.  Kathy graduated with her Master of Science degree in Pediatric Nursing from Arizona State University in May 2008 and feels privileged to have joined the Desert Shores family.  Outside of work, Kathy loves spending time with her husband and son.
